Well i guess that is has been long overdue but today Digg actually announced they have finally released their iPhone app, and it is available for download.

Although it may seem that this is a bit late, the news announcement on the official company blog also stated that generous guys at Digg would also be giving away a chance at a FREE iPad too!

Teaming up with TapTapTap (aptly named) who specialize in digg API apps and exploration are holding a promotion where anyone can a win one of fourteen custom Digg iPads, one each day for two weeks, designed by Colorware. The promotion is a really basic two step process so everyone should be enter for a chance:

The iPhone app looks pretty basic and standard, not too much to sink your teeth in to there, but i think the chance for a free iPad for simply teweeting should be something that gets everyone’s attention.
